May 27th - July 4th
Opening Reception May 27th 6-8pm
Kariton Art Gallery

Abbotsford is host to 130,000 individuals of many different beliefs, heritages, and lifestyles. Who We Are and Where We Came From is an exhibition showcasing the cultural diversity of the Fraser Valley and will exhibit works of art which celebrate our differences and expose us to other walks of life. Artists have each interpreted the exhibition theme in their own way, sharing their personal perspective on culture, heritage, and identity. Viewers will be able to connect with the artists’ stories, cultures, or spaces, as represented through visual art. The diversity of a region is deeply connected with the stories and backgrounds of its inhabitants. Artists from the Fraser Valley Graphics Guild and Robert Bateman Secondary School have joined together to assemble a collection of paintings that celebrate cultural diversity and how it makes us strong.
