What the Abbotsford Arts Council can do for You!

The Abbotsford Arts Council promotes performing, literary, and visual artists and arts organizations, as well as arts advocates in Abbotsford. We require that individuals become members to enjoy the benefits of exposure through our programs and other services.

Memberships can be purchased online or in person at the Kariton Art Gallery.

General Membership – $30.00

  • Exhibition opportunities to show and sell art at the Kariton Art Gallery & Gift Shop (both online and in person).
  • Opportunities to perform at Mill Lake Music and other AAC events.
  • Automatic subscription to our Eye on the Arts e-newsletter, featuring calls for artists, notice of upcoming exhibitions, concerts, performances and workshops, as well as member events. (You may unsubscribe anytime.) 
  • Opportunities to promote your local arts and culture event in the AAC’s Eye on the Arts e-newsletter, as well as on our social media channels and the community bulletin board at the Kariton Art Gallery. 
  • 10% discount on The Reach membership when you show your AAC membership card.
  • Chance to win tickets to various performances by our Theatrical Member groups throughout the year.
  • Access to our Digital Content Library featuring workshops, tutorials and content created specially for our members. 
  • Voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting of the Abbotsford Arts Council.
 
 

 

Student Membership – $20.00

  •  Enjoy all the perks of a general membership at a discount! Must be enrolled at a valid school or university at the time of purchase.
 
 

Senior Membership – $20.00

  •  Enjoy all the perks of a general membership at a discount! Valid for anyone 65+.

 

Group Membership – $50.00

Member groups include non-profit organizations as well as creative professionals working together as an ensemble. Business members include non-profit organizations that provide services to the public and profit businesses that are culturally-oriented.

  • Opportunities to show and sell art in the Kariton Art Gallery & Boutique as a group.
  • Free use of the Kariton Art Gallery after gallery hours, for one meeting per month (contact us for gallery availability). *subject to public health orders.*
  • Opportunity to participate in the Abbotsford Arts Council’s group liability insurance program. (Spring intake deadline)
  • Automatic subscription to our Eye on the Arts e-newsletter, featuring calls for artists, notice of upcoming exhibitions, concerts, performances and workshops, as well as member events. (You may unsubscribe anytime.) 
  • Opportunities to promote your local arts and culture event in the AAC’s Eye on the Arts e-newsletter, as well as on our social media channels and the community bulletin board at the Kariton Art Gallery. 
  • One representative voice or vote at the Annual General Meeting of the Abbotsford Arts Council.
  • Receive one free message that rotates year round on 101.7 FM CIVL Radio promoting your organization.

 

Band Membership – $35.00

  • First notice of upcoming gig opportunities through the AAC. 
  • Receive one free message that rotates year round on 101.7 FM CIVL Radio promoting the band/group.
  • Automatic subscription to our Eye on the Arts e-newsletter, featuring calls for artists, notice of upcoming exhibitions, concerts, performances and workshops, as well as member events. (You may unsubscribe anytime.)

Memberships are valid for one full calendar year.

*Membership fee waived for all local First Nations applicants, please contact us for more information.*
